Our resilient wheel has been optimized to resist wear and tear, improving light rail vehicle safety and the Total Life Cycle Cost. Consisting of basic components such as a tyre, a wheel centre, a retaining ring and rubber rings/blocks, it can withstand increasing axle loads and can also easily accommodate the noise absorbing Syope® system.
Engineered for low-floor applications, LimoSet® our innovative axle reduces the Total Life Cycle Cost of the wheelset. It is designed-to-cost and is easy to maintain because it introduces the modularity concept that grants easy assembly, disassembly, and inspection, adding up to a serious financial benefit for the OEMs and ECMs because grant lower maintenance costs.

Lucchini RS acts as a single reliable supplier for the technical responsibility, maintenance and replacement of rubber elements, tyres, mounting kits and Syope® noise absorbing systems. We can support the Customer also with reverse engineering and supply of spare parts for existing wheel solutions.
Lucchini RS steel boutique has been founded to add an unmatched level of design and material personalization. Our expertise and in-house production also allow us to adapt the design configuration to the specific interface requirements (e.g.: tread profile geometry and dimensions, traction and/or braking system interfaces) and to find the best solutions in terms of components material (e.g.: tyre mechanical properties, light-alloy solutions for the wheel center and the ring for unsprung masses optimization). We also offer service for reverse engineering of existing wheels for a complete or partial (spare parts) refurbishment, upon Customer’s request.
