So far just 33% of wagons are Noise TSI compliant.

Lucchini RS has started to work on the noise pollution issue long before the market has requested it, which allowed the group to develop the widest range of noise reduction solutions for the train wheels. SILENCE-DRIVEN DESIGN
We start optimizing the overall emissions of our wheels during the DESIGN phase by using the STARDAMP software, impacting the noise reduction AT SOURCE.
STARDAMP software analyzes the wheel geometry, the roughness conditions of the wheel/rail interferences and allows to scientifically quantify the efficiency of acoustic rail and wheel dampers, thus, reducing the need for costly field tests on real track.
Software used to validate lower noise emissions of our Syope® wheels.
REDUCE TOTAL ROLLING NOISE
The radial wheel-sound absorbers, especially effective at high speeds are proven to reduce the rolling noise by up to 9 dB(A) on the total noise emission of the vehicle.
ELIMINATE CURVE SQUEAL
Reduce the disturbing curve travel noise with our axial sound absorber by up to 41 dB(A) at specific squealing frequencies.
